The Truth
Bound by a purpose
More shallow than mist;
Consumed by hope to
Deny all that exists,
I wander in shadows
Enshrined in light,
To embrace the truth that is mine.
Forgotten in dreams
That virtue endears,
It calls me slowly;
Demands my blood and tears.
To heed the cry of
My maker's pride,
I embrace the truth that is mine.
Forsaken by destiny;
Trapped in mortal rage,
I mock the chidings of
This sinfully barren age.
Skilled int he art
Of the broken lie,
I embrace the truth that is mine.
